Juice the watermelon (about 2 quarts of juice) and the limes.
Add to a big pitcher along with the filtered water, coconut water, and honey (if using)
Mix everything well and serve over ice!
Tips:
Adjust the quantities to your taste. As a general rule of thumb, I usually add the same amount of water as there is juice and all of my cooler recipes. When using coconut water it does not count as the water in this ratio. It is always in addition to it.
The honey is optional because it depends on how sweet your watermelon is. I suggest mixing everything up without the honey and then doing a taste test.
Other types of melons can be used instead of watermelon for this recipe.
This is a big recipe so it can be cut in half if you like. However, I love making a large amount of this because it is so refreshing and hydrating, I go through it very quickly. It is a great drink to bring to the beach and to parties!
